From a Dream to Reality: The Story of Villa Mila

Our journey with Gili Air began over a decade ago, when a deep love for the island sparked a dream, to one day build a boutique stay here. In 2015, that dream took its first steps with the purchase of a small piece of land. Life, however, took a different turn for a while, leading to years spent abroad, raising a family, and navigating the challenges of the world. But the vision never faded.

In 2023, the time felt right to return, and with a lot of passion and dedication, the construction of this five-suite boutique retreat began. By June 2024, the doors were officially open to welcome the first guests.

Villa Mila was designed to offer both tranquility and connection. Spacious rooms feature private outdoor lounges for quiet moments, while the communal pool creates a relaxed social atmosphere. The bar, where breakfast is served, also offers a space to unwind, enjoy a drink, play a game, or even work remotely. More than just a stay, it’s a place to slow down and feel at home in the heart of Gili Air.
